Ok, you have all heard/ read me go on and on about my computer woes.
Well, [livejournal.com profile] la_muse_verte we awesome enough to replace my motherboard. Ever since then I have been getting blue screens of death.
[livejournal.com profile] satanicmechanic took it for a while to try and diagnose the problem but he couldn't deal with the frustration of the very sensitive power source and then got bogged down with school and the new baby.
So, I have the laptop back and am on a mission of trying to fix her.
The error I get is: irql not less or equal
with number: 0x0000000A (0x002D003D, 0x000000FF, 0x00000000, 0x804E35E9)

I am praying that this is a software problem and not and issue with the motherboard since 1) I bought it brand new 2) It has been too long for me to send it back to them if it is bad 3) I can't afford to replace it again.

Thoughts? Fixes?
Begging here.....

Thanks!!

From here:

"This behavior can occur if there is incompatible hardware or an incompatible device driver on your computer."

Basically, go to the windows update site, see if there's any driver updates for your computer. Chances are it's an irq conflict, which could be something that you don't need, so you just take it out (or disable it) and problem solved.

1. Could be bad memory.
2. Could be bad device drivers. Get the latest ones for everything.
3. Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer - see if anything matches the time of the BSOD

All device drivers up to date.
Sadly, the laptop was out of commission for a while due to a bad power supply that became a bad mother board. The motherboard was replaced. As soon as she was back up and running she started having the problem.

Sounds like bad memory if you are getting page faults and memtest is dying.

I don't think meme test is dying. It just isn't running.
I made the boot disc like the website said. I set the laptop to boot from disc but it doesn't seem to make any difference at all.
Maybe I made the disc wrong?

I troubleshoot PCs for my day job, so lets see what I can pull out of my magic hat.

The message you listed above can indicate that a kernel mode process or driver attempted to access a memory address that it did not have access to.

It could be a driver issue.
It could be a hardware issue.
It could possibly be your RAM. You can test it here: http://www.memtest.org/

Was there more to the error that you could list? Are you getting a blue screen? Who is the maker of your laptop and what is the model?

I have been trying to get the stuff from memtest86 to work and I am not sure what I did wrong but it doesn't seem to be working.

I am getting a blue screen.
It is an HP Pavilion ze5170

I am also sometimes getting a 'page fault in non paged area' error.

THANKS TONS!!!!
