No one will ever be wooed or impressed with Grocery store flowers. Really. Pick some from the side of the road or steal some from a garden. That , at least shows an investment of effort. Buy something unique from a florist or greenhouse. That at lease shows an investment of finance. Something from a grocery store shows it was a last minute buy for less than 12.00.

If you want someone one to be somewhere you should tell them.
If you don't tell them don't get upset if they aren't there.
If you don't tell them also don't get upset if they think you don't want them there.

Most people aren't psychic.

Don't complain that someone ruined your holiday/ event/ evening/ whatever when they come and all you do is give them a hard time so they leave.

Slamming you head into a table out of frustration only hurts you....ok, maybe the table a little bit. But mostly you.

Your current S.O. will never take it well when your previous involvement tells them to watch their back.

Your current S.O. will take it worse if you tell them the previous involvement isn't wrong.

Don't fuck with the "Cult of the Cat Women". Not even in jest. They/ We don't have a sense of humor about it.

Just because someone loves you doesn't mean they like you.

Don't think you can tell someone you love them, then lie to them or betray their trust, and think that the previous" I Love You" still carries the same importance/ validity/ belief.

You are not a fucking "Warrior Poet". You are a pathetic wanna be who should be drowned like a sack of rabid puppies.

Don't expect sympathy if you are going to be a prick about it.

Blood does not make you family.

*edit*
It is unkind to interrupt someone mid-emotional rant for something petty and self-serving.

I ended up here while poking around the philosophically interested LJ users with the most interesting titles (your reminds me of Schrodenger's Cat).

Your writing is really interesting, and you seem to have a giant following reading it. I just wanted to add myself to that mass.

Thanks for this.

That's interesting. And so is your "time as friends"-entry. Can I please be your friend to read more of this? My cats are always running around screaming and wanting something from me. It would be only fair if I found a cat actually doing something for me. Well, but that's not said to influence you in any way. But the nice smile on my face is, in fact. A pity you can't see that.

Never bought Grocery Flowers anyway. They usually LOOK cheap and that's worse than being it.

Not all of my entries are this...thoughtful. But you are more than welcome to play in my side of the sandbox. :-)

It is, however, perfectly acceptable to woo yourself with grocery store flowers. One of the things I miss about living with the boys is that I can't have my vase of fresh flowers on the table at all times.. our roomate's cat will eat them.
